Maj. Gen. Joseph Anderson, commanding general, 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson, along with the leadership of the 10th Cavalry Regiment, lead all three squadrons of the 10th Cav. Reg. in a run celebrating the 146th birthday of the regiment, July 26, 2012. The unit run was followed by a cake cutting ceremony. Throughout the celebration, leaders of the regiment put emphasis on the history and traditions of the 10th Cav. Reg., a unit that has been a major part of U.S. history, from being one of the original Buffalo Soldier units, to being an important element in the capture of Saddam Hussein.
