Josh Ogburn, a range operations officer assigned to the 149th Operations Group’s Detachment 1, collects expended munitions used for strafing practice at Yankee Range, the northern of two ranges within McMullen Target Complex in South Texas, Sept. 10, 2020. These Detachment 1 members must clear the surface and remove projectiles from the strafe pit as part of their recurring maintenance. They operate the range primarily in support of the training of the 149th Fighter Wing F-16 pilots, but Randolph and Kingsville also use the complex for their flight training requirements.
