NAVAL AMPHIBIOUS BASE CORONADO (Sep. 10, 2020) U.S. Army Gen. Richard D. Clarke, right, commander, U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), observes a diving evolution during SEAL Qualification Training and speaks with an instructor from Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Basic Training Command (BTC) about his role in training the next generation of U.S. Navy SEALs. NSW BTC provides initial and advanced training to the Sailors who make up the U.S. Navy’s SEAL and Special Boat Teams. USSOCOM develops and employs fully capable Special Operations Forces to conduct global special operations and activities as part of the Joint Force to support persistent, networked and distributed Combatant Command operations and campaigns against state and non-state actors to protect and advance U.S. policies and objectives.
