The German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge is one of the few foreign awards authorized for wear on United States Army Soldier’s dress uniform. The German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB) basic fitness test includes a timed flexed-arm hang, a 12-kilometer ruck march carrying a minimum of 35-pounds, a 1,000 meter sprint, and 11 shuttle sprints at 10-meters. The GAFPB Combat Swim includes a 100 meter swim in the Army Combat Uniform and removal of the uniform upon completion while still treading water.
