Chief Master Sgt. Chris Simpson, 18th Air Force command chief, addresses the Pause for Race Relations committees at a luncheon Sept. 22, 2020, as part of his visit at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. The Pause for Race Relations week, held Aug. 5-7, 2020, invited Airmen to participate in a variety of thought-provoking events, provided resources and welcomed dialogue on difficult topics. As Air Mobility Command’s sole numbered air force, 18th Air Force ensures the readiness and sustainment of approximately 36,000 active duty, Air Force Reserve and civilian Airmen at 12 wings and one stand-alone group.
