OKINAWA, JAPAN—U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Evan M. Simonds, a motor transport operator with Truck Co., Headquarters Bn., 3rd Marine Division, displays the brake fluid vessel on the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) here, Sep. 18. Unlike in the Humvee, the translucent container allows Marines to quickly inspect fluid levels. The JLTV contains five separate brake fluid systems to increase reliability on all four wheels and the emergency brake. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Gunnery Sgt. Jacob H. Harrer)
