U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt Jack Thibodeau of the 148th Fighter Wing Explosive Ordinance Disposal is being briefed about a found simulated explosive device by Security Forces Technical Sgt. Brandon Shimmin during Exercise Crimson Icefall at the Air National Guard base in Duluth, Minn. During an October that set snow records for Duluth, the 148th Fighter Wing conducted a full scale readiness exercise to assess the unit's ability to employ and sustain combat capability in a contested environment.
