Hawaii Army National Guard Aviator Chief Warrant Officer 2 Craig Takenaka is the maintenance test pilot for Company B, 1-171 Aviation Regiment from Wheeler Army Airfield, Wahiawa, Hawaii. His mission Aug. 1-17, 2012 will be to test the four CH-47 Chinook helicopters that have been flown in from Hawaii in support of Southern Accord 2012, an U.S. Army Africa mission that has brought U.S. forces together to enhance security, training, and international military partnerships.
