U.S. Army Oregon National Guard Lt. Col. Kyle Akers, Kosovo Force Regional-Command East Maneuver Battalion commander, receives a commemorative medal from the Kosovo Force Polish Military Contingent Oct. 26, 2020 at Camp Maréchal De Lattre De Tassigny, Kosovo. The Polish Contingent and the U.S. Maneuver Battalion operate jointly to maintain a secure environment with freedom of movement for all people in Kosovo. Akers stated that the past several months of cooperation with Polish soldiers was a real pleasure and an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences that will serve both armies in increasing their interoperability and effectiveness.
