Chief Robert Denney, Letterkenny Fire Department, Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD), provides remarks during a Housing ceremony, commemorating the addition of a new fire engine to the department's fleet on November 13, 2020. “The upgrades to Letterkenny’s fleet are part of the Army effort to modernize the fire truck fleet. Since 2015, the Army has reduced its lifecycle rate on fire trucks from 47 years down to 35,” Denney said. The fire engine Housing Ceremony is a longstanding tradition within the fire service that signifies an engine being ready for duty.
