The Coast Guard payed homage to the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter White Alder during the 52nd Anniversary Memorial Ceremony at the U.S.S. Kidd Veterans Museum in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, December 7, 2020. On this day, 52 years ago, 17 Coast Guardsmen perished when the White Alder sank in the lower Mississippi River.
