Cpl. Federico Rojas, company clerk, Headquarters and Service Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, and his son meet Civilian Military Police Officer Lt. Vernon Kong, from the Special Response Team at the Provost Marshal’s Office at Mokapu Mall, Aug. 7. Kong is showing them a small arms protective insert plate. Marine Corps Base Hawaii hosted its first National Night Out this year at Mokapu Mall, featuring static displays, entertainment, law enforcement officials and various organizations. Service members, civilians and families were able to meet and learn about representatives from these organizations.
