A soldier from the Army of North Macedonia participates in a MK 19 weapon system familiarization class Sept. 1, 2020, at Krivolak Training Area, North Macedonia. The U.S.-led familiarization class was a part of “infantry day” within the multinational training exercise Reinforced Dam which took place from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7. Troops from both the U.S. and North Macedonia trained alongside each other in situational combat scenarios, weapons cross training, and combined maneuvers. The exercise helped to enhance the partnership between the two nations and strengthen North Macedonia’s recent accession into NATO in support of enduring stability and security throughout Europe.
