200730-N-SS900-1001 BREMERTON, Wash. (July 30, 2020) A logo created for the Visual Information Personnel (VIPER) team aboard Nimitz-class nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). The logo consists of a viper reminiscent of the team’s name with an aperture eye to symbolize the team’s focus as well as the aperture of a camera. VIPER teams are responsible for collecting imagery and data from incidents underway or in-port to capture moments of unsafe or unprofessional interaction to disseminate to a global audience and win the battle of the narrative.
