U.S. Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. James I. Petty, the Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (H&HS) sergeant major at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, looks at a shrine memorializing the lives of U.S. Marine Corps explosive ordnance disposal technicians who were killed during operation Iraqi Freedom, MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, on Nov. 4, 2020. Petty hopes that through setting the example, the Marines within H&HS will aid one another in career development and success, whether that be through providing, or taking, every opportunity available to them.
