200528-N-OT328-0097 PACIFIC OCEAN (May 28, 2020) The aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) transits the pacific ocean. The Nimitz Carrier Strike Group (CSG) is underway conducting a composite unit training exercise (COMPTUEX). COMPTUEX is an intensive exercise designed to fully integrate units of the CSG, while testing a strike group's ability as a whole to carry out sustained combat operations from the sea.
