Completed patient pods in the alternate care facility constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District at the Alaska Airlines Center on April 17 in Anchorage. The Corps' project delivery team provided critical response capabilities to assist the state in keeping Alaskans safe during the COVID-19 health crisis. It completed the temporary hospital eight days after awarding the contract and less than 10 days after receiving the mission assignment.
