PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 3, 2020) – U.S. Navy Aviation Boatswain’s Mates (Handling) Airmen Christopher Flores and Deon Edmonds run toward the CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter, attached to Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 164 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, to remove the chocks and chains holding it in place on the flight deck aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS San Diego (LPD 22). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and 15th MEU are currently conducting at-sea training events in the U.S. 3rd Fleet area of operations.
