Steven Walker, the chaplain with Battalion Landing Team 3/4, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), and Religious Program Specialist 3rd Class James Goodman, says a prayer on a landing craft, air cushion (LCAC) aboard USS New Orleans (LPD 18), Feb. 17, 2021. The chaplain blessed and prayed over the LCACs and vehicles to protect the Marines and sailors who ride them from harm. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group in the 7th fleet area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
