U.S. Army Sgt. Mathew Griffin is currently deployed as an all source intelligence analyst with the 1-82nd Attack Reconnaissance Battalion. He originally joined the military in 2018 because his grandfather served in the military and he wanted to follow his footsteps.
Griffin's goals during deployment are to get in shape and figure out if he wants to make the military as a career. But mostly he is looking forward to getting home and spending time with his wife and kids. He enjoys contact sports such as wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and boxing. He says he would like to get into Jiu Jitsu fighting if he decides to seek opportunities outside of the military.
Griffin says that the highlight of his deployment will be when he receives his iPhone AirPods Pro in a care package from his family.
