Reserve and active-duty Marines from Headquarters and Service Battalion, 4st Marine Logistic Group of Marietta, Ga. attended the ceremony in which Pfc. Southern Nixon Jr. was recently awarded the Congressional Gold Medal- the highest civilian honor awarded by Congress- during a ceremony at Woodland Middle School in Stockbridge, Ga., where he now serves as a nutrition assistant.
