During a Fort Worth District site visit Aug. 28, Brig. Gen. Thomas W. Kula, commander, Southwestern Division, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was briefed on the city of Dallas’ new Pavaho Pump Station project inside the federally authorized Dallas Floodway System. A two-year construction project to expand pumping capacity of the pump station in West Dallas is substantially complete and a ribbon-cutting ceremony is being planned for October.
