NEW LONDON, Conn. (April 5, 2021) Acting Secretary of the Navy Thomas W. Harker departs the U.S. Coast Guard Academy after touring the facility with Rear Adm. William G. Kelly, 42nd superintendent of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Harker traveled to New England to visit industrial construction and maintenance locations to view current work, tour facilities and to discuss industrial base economic wellness and workforce health. He also visited institutions in the region with long-standing contributions to the development of the maritime services, and the education and development of future naval leaders.
