Commander, 22nd Naval Construction Regiment, Capt. Robert A. McLean talks with Senior Chief Storekeeper Melvin Lawrence of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 1 during a recent visit by the 22nd and 30th NCR commanders around the Ramadi area. NMCB 1 is part of nearly 1,100 Sailors and Marines supporting critical construction efforts in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq and is also currently deployed to several locations in the Middle East, Afghanistan and Micronesia, providing responsive military construction support to U.S. military and coalition operations.
