On April 30, 2021, members of the Public Health Activity, Great Lakes Branch and Fort McCoy toured the Commemorative Area and History Center. Public Health Activity Soldiers conducted their weeklong training at Fort McCoy. The Commemorative Area consists of World War II-era buildings set aside to help tell Fort McCoy’s unique history, the History Center, Equipment Park, and Veteran’s Memorial Plaza. Summer open hours will be Friday’s noon – 4 p.m. and Saturday’s 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., starting Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
