U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Lucas Brown, assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade speaks on his experience during the vaccination effort at the Community Vaccination Center at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, May 5, 2021. Brown is serving in a general purpose role and has had an enjoyable first-hand experience with clients at the site. “It’s really helping out my communication skills; you're able to talk to people,” he says. “We try to sit down with them, just take the time to have like a 15 minute conversation with them, and just get to know a little bit about themselves.” Staff Sgt. Brown is a fire support specialist and is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
