U.S. Marines Corps Capt. Brian M. Frick, a pilot with Marine Attack Squadron 542, acts as a downed pilot awaiting rescue while florescent dye helps mark his location for rescue aircraft off the coast of Cape Lookout, North Carolina, May 18, 2021. U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Marine Corps units within the Mid-Atlantic Region participated in a realistic scenario in order to build relationships for potential search and rescue events. 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing (MAW) does not possess organic search and rescue resources.
