A 27th Special Operations Support Squadron independent duty medical technician packs gauze into a wound on a mannequin during casualty evacuation training at Cannon AFB, N.M., April 30, 2021. The CASEVAC course has previously only been offered at Hurlburt Field, Fla., and was the first time the course has been offered at Cannon. Conducting the course at Cannon allows IDMTs to receive their training at home station, saving time and money and enabling more streamlined training processes.
