Spc. Albano Bombaj, from the Florida Army National Guard's Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 124th Infantry Regiment, has a special connection to this year's training at DEFENDER-Europe 21: He was born in Albania, and has not been back since his family moved in the early 1990s. "My family moved to Greece when I was young and then to the United States in the early 2000s, prior to my enlistment in the active duty Army. It's been great to return and see Albania like this, interact with Soldiers from my home country," said Bombaj.
