Sailors prepare to man the rails of the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63) as the ship steams into Truman Bay, Yokosuka, at the conclusion of the ship's 2007 deployment cycle. The ship took part in exercise ANNUALEX with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force in early November. Kitty Hawk is the Navy's only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier and operates from Fleet Activities Yokosuka.
