Soldiers, family and friends gathered at a ceremony Sept. 12 to dedicate the Soldier Activity Center to Staff Sgt. Roberto Loeza, who died May 25, 2012, in Afghanistan. Fort Bliss’ new $8.2 million, 23,500-square-foot Soldier Activity Center was dedicated to Loeza at a ceremony Sept. 12. The SAC was established as an alternative, positive gathering place for soldiers to relax with their peers.
