Lt. Gen. R. Scott Dingle, The Army Surgeon General and Commanding General of Army Medical Command, visits with U.S. Army Reserve Soldiers participating in exercise Global Medic at Fort Hunter Liggett June 14. More than 2,000 Soldiers are taking part in Global Medic, a multi-day field training exercise that simulates a real-world combat deployment in an austere environment. The Medical Readiness Training Command executes Global Medic as part of the Army Reserve Medical Command's larger mission to provide trained, equipped, and combat ready units and medical personnel to support the total force on the battlefields of today and tomorrow.
