The Order of Samuel Sharpe, first introduced in May 1994 by the United States Army Ordnance Corps Association (USAOCA), is awarded to Ordnance personnel who have demonstrated the highest standards of integrity and moral character, selflessness, displayed an outstanding professional competence, and contributed to the promotion of the Ordnance Corps in ways that stand out to the recipient’s seniors, subordinates, and peers.
