Army Reserve Soldiers, from the 307th Medical Brigade out of Blacklick, OH provide Health screenings, Dental care, Optometry, Behavioral Health consultations and Veterinary Services as part of the Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) Coal Country Medical Mission conducted in Knox and Clay County, Kentucky on June 21, 2021. Lieutenant Colonel David Fleming treats local owner's pet in Manchester, Kentucky. Requested by Knox and Clay County, the Coal Country IRT mission is a civil-military program that builds a mutually beneficial partnership between U.S. communities and the Department of Defense to meet training and readiness requirements for Active, Guard and Reserve service members while addressing public and civil society needs.
