U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. J.B. Sexson, the 3rd Operations Support Squadron airfield weather operation’s noncommissioned officer in charge, explains a tactical meteorological observing system to Senior Airman Collin Stock, a Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape specialist assigned to the 66th Training Squadron, Detachment 1, in support of Operation Colony Glacier at a remote weather observation post near Colony Glacier, Alaska, June 17, 2021. Operation Colony Glacier is an effort to recover the remains of service members and wreckage from a C-124 aircraft that crash landed in November 1952 with 52 military members on board. The wreckage was discovered in 2012 and a recovery effort has taken place each summer. This will be the 9th year of recovery efforts. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. Johnathon Wines)
