GARDNER, Kan. (June 30, 2021) Lt. Julius Bratton, a pilot and narrator assigned to the U.S. Navy flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels, prepares to conduct a key influencer flight at New Century Air Center, June 30, 2021. As the narrator, Bratton flies solo out to air show sites, conducting flights with members of the community prior to the rest of the team arriving the next day. The Blue Angels will be performing at the Kansas City Air Show July 3-4 and takes place during Kansas City Navy Week, the first in-person Navy Week since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Blue Angels 2021 show season is their first year flying the Super Hornet platform as well as the team’s 75th anniversary.
