Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1651 approaches the well deck of amphibious dock landing ship USS Tortuga (LSD 46) during an embarkation of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (31st MEU). Tortuga embarked the 31st MEU to begin conducting amphibious operations in the Western Pacific. The Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) is comprised of Tortuga, amphibious assault ship Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), amphibious transport dock USS Denver (LPD 9), the 31st MEU, Amphibious Squadron (PHIBRON) 11 and Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7.
