An experimental drone is showcased at the Virginia Smart Community Testbed ribbon cutting on May 25 in Stafford, Va. The drone demonstrated a variety of capabilities for maneuvering through buildings in cramped spaces. MCICOM exercises command and control of Marine Corps installations via regional commanders in order to provide oversight, direction and coordination of installation services and to optimize support to the Operating Forces, tenants and activities (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cathy Close).
