An AH-1Z Cobra Helicopter provides aerial coverage during a flight operation in the Philippine Sea, July 13, 2021. Pilots with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) regularly conduct flight operations to stay tactically proficient. The 31st MEU is operating aboard ships of the America Expeditionary Strike Group area of operations to enhance interoperability with allies and partners, and serve as a ready response force to defend peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region.
