Gigi Jeffery, lead recreation assistant, Shaw Physical Fitness Center, masks up to help slow the spread of COVID-19’s Delta variant. In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendation, and Department of Defense and Department of the Army force protection guidance the installation currently requires face masks indoors regardless of vaccination status, and outdoors for individuals who are not fully vaccinated. Exceptions to the mask policy include fully vaccinated individuals outdoors, personnel conducting physical training and Soldiers and Families in the immediate vicinity of their on-post residence.
