U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Harry Dunmire, 23rd Logistics Readiness Squadron air terminal function section chief, inspects cargo netting prior to loading pallets at Moody Air Force Base, Georgia, Aug. 28, 2021. The 71st Rescue Squadron provided HC-130J Combat King II cargo aircraft to transport seven pallets and more than 160 Airmen from the 822nd Base Defense Squadron to Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico, in support of Task Force – Holloman. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities, in permanent or temporary structures, as quickly as possible.
