KC-135 aerial refueling aircraft at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan recently received a series of upgrades. The KC-135 continues to undergo life-cycle upgrades to expand their capabilities since it debuted in the U.S. Air Force in 1965. Among these are improved communications, navigation, autopilot, and surveillance equipment which make the jets safer and more reliable.
