U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Kevin Keiter describes his job as a U.S. Air Force Honor Guard pallbearer to Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Honorary Commanders at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, D.C., Sept. 14, 2021. The body bearers flight participates in U.S. Air Force, joint service, and state funerals by carrying the remains of deceased service members, their family members, and senior or national leaders to their final resting places at Arlington National Cemetery. The Honorary Commander’s program allows JBAB to establish and maintain personal contact with local civic leaders in order to increase public awareness of the missions, policies, and programs of JBAB and the United States Air Force. The program also aims to build mutually beneficial relationships between military installations and local communities. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Corey Hook)
