Max Weissman, Advanced Data Acquisition Prototyping Technology Virtual Environments (ADAPT.VE) mechanical engineer controls Spot, a dog-like robot from Boston Dynamics. Spot is an “agile mobile robot that navigates terrain with unprecedented mobility, allowing you to automate routine inspection tasks and data capture safely, accurately, and frequently.” This latest addition to the ADAPT.VE team will allow the lab to further support various departments, codes, and activities through improved processes and novel solutions.
