(Sept. 6, 2021) Builder Constructionman Avery Becker, assigned to U.S. Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3, applies a broom finish to freshly-placed concrete for a 150-foot-by-150-foot concrete pad for vertical takeoff and landing on San Clemente Island, Calif. The Seabees completed 16 placements of 250 cubic-yards of concrete. Once complete, the pad will allow for increased aviation training and operational capacity on the island.
