The ship deployed to the Naval Forces Southern Command area of responsibility to engage in monitoring, detection and counter-narcotics activities. Frigates fulfill a protection of shipping mission as anti-submarine warfare) combatants for amphibious expeditionary forces, underway replenishment groups and merchant convoys.
