RIA-JMTC Base Operations Engineering Team has worked collaboratively with the Armor Solutions Business Unit to achieve their Value Engineering (VE) goal on the 915 B Kits and Het Urban Survivability Kit (HUSK) programs. This is the second consecutive year the validation goal has been achieved. It takes the collaboration of multiple people at RIA-JMTC to achieve the VE goal. The recognition and communication from the Artisans on the floor to the Process Planners and Program Controllers to the Commodity Managers put RIA-JMTC in the position to successfully meet the VE goal.
Megan Schumacher highlighted how teamwork continues to show success at RIA-JMTC, “There are always better ways to design and manufacture products. Something I have grown to appreciate most about JMTC is its ability to work collaboratively to get a mission done. These two teams showcased collaboration and innovation this last year by recommending and implementing many significant improvements to these end items, ultimately resulting in better buying power for our customers.”
The partnership with Heavy Tactical Vehicle (HTV) and RIA-JMTC is another integral component to the achievement of the VE. HTV has worked with multiple team members at RIA-JMTC to construct a manufactural process that will produce functioning parts at a cost value that allows positive buying power for them.
Communication and teamwork continues to exhibit success at RIA-JMTC!
