U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, pose as injured casualties during a notional, active-shooter scenario as part of Constant Vigilance 2021 on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 21, 2021. First responders and camp personnel aboard Marine Corps Base Camp Butler eliminated the simulated threat and were able to tend to all casualties in the area who were indirectly fired upon. Exercise Constant Vigilance is an annual exercise that prepares U.S. Forces, the local and prefectural government, civilians, and emergency personnel to work side-by-side in response to force protection, anti-terrorism, and installation breaches.
