Marines stationed in the Marine Corps National Capitol Region salute at the starting line of the 44th Marine Corps Marathon in Arlington, Va. Marines from the local area volunteer annually to assist in the setup, execution and cleanup of the marathon and present the coveted finisher medals to runners as they cross the finish line.
