A KC-130J assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 252 lands at Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field (MCALF) Bogue, North Carolina, Nov. 18, 2021. The event was a demonstration of expeditionary advanced base operations concepts to illustrate the capabilities of 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing as a result of the Commandant of the Marine Corps' force design. “The demonstration marks the first occasion of air-delivered ground refueling of an F-35 on the East Coast as well as the first time 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing has conducted F-35 operations at MCALF Bogue.
